Salt Lake City’s own Wearing Thin are back and they’re ready to let you know about it. Back in 2015, they signed to Tragic Hero Records and released their label debut, Fake Amends, shortly after.

Fake Amends was a big milestone for Wearing Thin as it showed their significant progress as a band. As life often does, it threw some curveballs at the band and some time went by. The last show Wearing Thin played together as a band was back on October 21, 2016, but that too is about to change.

It starts now with a new song, which you can listen to at the bottom of this post. “Anything At All” is the first glimpse of new music from the band. This new track is Wearing Thin at their most unapologetic, returning with a blistering song to re-establish themselves in a monstrous way.

The band’s vocalist, Tylor Blackburn, mentions that “’Anything At All’ is an interesting song for me to reflect on. It was the first song we wrote for the record, and I’m definitely in a much better place mentally than I was when I wrote it. During its conception, I was going through a rekindling of faith due to my inability to reconcile the world around me. At the same time, I was recognizing that my need for some kind of divine presence in my life could also be a symptom of my own selfishness. This debate in my mind led to a lot of anxiety, and honestly mental illness for a while, but ultimately that faith I was searching for set me free.”

In addition to this new track, Wearing Thin is playing their first show since October 21, 2016 tonight in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Beehive Social Club. They have announced that they will be performing only new songs with their new lineup, so you can expect to hear “Anything At All” and some other new tracks tonight if you live in the area.

Be on the lookout for more new music from Wearing Thin, and we’ll keep you updated along the way.
