When The xx first released “Say Something Loving” we praised it for its great production and heartwarming message of love. A few months later and we now have the music video for the track, and we’re happy to find that it embodies that same tenderness for us to experience all over again.

The video is part performance video, part a slice of everyday life. We have the trio themselves playing the song against a blank blue background, the members standing out prominently dressed in all black. Intermingled throughout are views of a number of couples just enjoying life. They skateboard, kiss, go to the arcade, hold hands, and generally find love and comfort with each other. Directed by Alasdair McLellan, the video feels very human and made us all crack a smile at one point or another. Watch it now:

“Say Something Loving” is off The xx’s third album, I See You. The album was released in January through London-based label Young Turks.
