The end of an era approaches with release of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ trailer

As much as they might like to tell you they did, I’m not sure Marvel had any idea how huge their Cinematic Universe would become when they released Iron Man in 2008. You don’t need me to tell you how that went for them. Ten years and numerous beloved films later, the first iteration of the MCU is drawing to a close. The MCU isn’t going out with a whimper, though. The first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War arrived this morning, and our heroes are going out with a roar.

Thanos has finally arrived on Earth, and he’s looking to complete the Infinity Gauntlet. That would be bad for everyone, so every hero we’ve seen has to step up and stop him. Just seeing some of these people together is an absolute thrill. Doctor Strange is with Iron Man! The Winter Solider is back! Thor and the Guardians get to know each other! That beautiful, beautiful Captain America beard! Marvel is clearly pulling out all the stops here, with huge action set-pieces to go alongside the team up footage.

After Black Panther drops in February, Avengers: Infinity War is next in line. Marvel’s crown jewel (or Infinity Stone) is set for release on May 4, 2018. Take a deep breath and watch the trailer.
