Columbus, Ohio-based artist Overgrow has announced that he will be releasing a new EP, Hear Your Voice Again, on December 4th via Common Ground Collective. The release is able to be pre-saved here.

To celebrate the news of Hear Your Voice Again, Overgrow has released a new single “Broken Things,” which can be found below. The accompanying music video was originally premiered yesterday via Idobi Radio’s weekly Rock Rise n’ Shine.

Regarding their new single, Jake Ciccotelli (Overgrow) explains, “‘Broken Things’ is about having someone you love tell you that you can rely on them in your time of need. I wrote this song during one of the lowest points in my life. I was living alone for the first time since my dad passed, and it led to me finally processing things. But with processing came all of the feelings of loss that I’d only previously let out momentarily to write. When the holidays came, my anxiety took over. I started blacking out and having panic attacks that I couldn’t remember no matter how hard I tried. It was lonely, and I bottled a lot up. One day, I came home from work and broke down and finally talked to my girlfriend about everything. And her reaction was to want to take care of me and make sure I was okay. For the first time in a very long time, I felt like no matter how chaotic life felt, I had a real support system there to help me through it. I wound up writing this song to remind myself of that, of this safe place that I found when everything felt like too much to handle. No matter how bad my anxiety would make me want to isolate, I knew that I couldn’t let myself take her for granted.”
