Love is great. On their recent single “Better Day,” Young Bombs (Martin and Tristan) teamed up with Aloe Blacc to let everyone know that even if they’re not perfect, they’re all deserving of love. The track is bright and uplifting to fit with that message. All that said, sometimes you have to fight for that love. The duo are taking that idea to its extreme in the newly released music video for “Better Day.”

“Better Day” is 100 percent campy goodness. The video begins with Martin and Tristan both seeing the woman of their dreams, but only one of them can woo her. Of course they solve this by immediately attacking one another. As the video progresses, the duo take more and more drastic and over-the-top actions to try to outdo each other. The absurdity of each escalating action is hilarious, as are the many shots of the currently wronged party brooding in the background. If there is a lesson to be learned here, it’s that Young Bombs are in no way afraid to commit to the bit.

If you don’t believe me, take it from the duo themselves. They tell Substream “The final ‘battle scene’ in the house was borderline real. Lillie, the director, told us to basically fight for 3 mins. During one of the moments when we were tackling each other on the ground, Martin rolled his ankle. He kept going and finished the scene before telling anyone but to this day he’s still in pain. I guess that’s the price you pay for doing your own stunts.”
