SWMRS is on a roll this month. Still riding the wave of their recent tour announcement, the Oakland, CA rock quartet have released “Trashbag Baby”, the third (and final) single off their forthcoming sophomore album, “Berkeley’s On Fire”.

“When we were writing these songs we were very conscious of our role in creating a space for people to escape from the nonstop negative media cycle,” SWMRS Cole Becker said of the album. “It’s a strange time to be young; our generation knows the duality of feeling like an unstoppable force for change in one moment and a powerless wreck in the next. We wanted these songs to document that feeling that we’ve observed closely in ourselves and in the people we’ve shared our music with over the past three years.”

“Trashbag Baby” follows current single “April In Houston”, and sees SWMRS co-frontmen Cole and Max Becker once again sharing lead vocal duties. Cole is also back to directing, as the skate music video the band has since posted to go with the song.

The band will also be performing live on BBC Radio 1 this Wednesday, January 16th (8:00 GMT), and is awaiting an almost month-long tour in support of the new album, “Berkeley’s On Fire”, due for release February 15th. Preorder the album here.
