After having spent a long while on the road touring with the likes of FIDLAR, blink-182, and All Time Low, Oakland-native rockers SWMRS have finally announced a tour of their own, this time in support of their upcoming sophomore album, Berkeley’s on Fire. The Rich Costey-produced (Death Cab for Cutie) endeavor is set to be released February 15th, and will kick off a round of touring just a month later, where they will be joined by fellow Californians The Regrettes and Beach Goons.

Comprised of Cole Becker (vocals/guitar), Max Becker (vocals/guitar), Joey Armstrong (drums), and Seb Mueller (bass), the band saw quite a bit of success with their third studio album, Drive North (2016) (but their first under the name SWMRS), and were later picked up by Fueled by Ramen (Paramore, TØP), who re-released Drive North. Their two new singles, “April in Houston” and “Berkeley’s on Fire,” precede the new album, giving us a taste of what seems will be a much more experimental, DEVO-inspired record, their first under Fueled by Ramen.

SWMRS’ tour kicks off March 28 and spans just over two months, closing out May 3 at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles. $1 per ticket sold will be donated to the newly established SWMRS fund, which works directly with organizations working on the frontlines of climate, racial, economic, and gender justice issues.

Presale for fans who have already preordered the album begins tomorrow at 10am PST, with tickets going on sale to the general public this Friday, Jan 11 at 10am PST. Dates below.
