In April, Portugal. The Man returned with the announcement that an album was coming. In just a blink of an eye that album is almost here. Woodstock comes out on Friday, and anticipation is through the roof. Helping build that anticipation is the release of another new track from the album, “Rich Friends.”
The guitar riff has teeth, a more pointed sound than what we’ve heard out of Portugal. The Man in the past. The song is a cynical plea for a titular rich friend with the lyrics going over the exaggerated excess and debauchery that comes from extreme wealth.
