With half the year still left in front of us, there are a few albums out there that we’re just itching to get our hands on. At the top of that list is All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell, the sophomore effort from PVRIS. Everything we’ve seen from the trio this year has been outstanding, including the just released video for new track “What’s Wrong.”

The track cuts to the bone, the synths blending in with the rest of the instrumentation to create a sonic maelstrom. It’s a song of despair as Lynn Gunn dispenses with the need for intricate wordplay in the chorus, singing “Don’t need a metaphor for you to know I’m miserable.”

The video, like much of the band’s past visual work, is in black and white. It finds Gunn as the keeper of a large castle, hosting dinner for a group of guests all wearing blindfolds. As they enjoy themselves, Gunn and fellow band members Alex Babinski and Brian MacDonald sit emotionless through everything from dinner to lap dances. It contains the same eerie vibes as the rest of the current album buildup, and we love it.

All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell is out August 4 through Rise Records. You can pre-order it now.
