Sydney, Australia grunge trio Halfwait—comprised of members Jon Barca, Chris Tallon, and Nath Stalenberg—have shared a brand new single, titled “Stand Alone,” and you can check out its lyric video below. The visuals feature black and white footage of the band roaming around town, and eagle-eyed viewers might even catch a nice little ode to Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain on a bench in the latter half of the video.

“Stand Alone” serves as the first single to be released from the band’s upcoming album, The Official, which is due to arrive sometime in June. Similar in style to the work of Foo Fighters in the 1990s and that of their contemporaries during that era of rock and grunge, “Stand Alone” shows a strong, driven side of Halfwait that we look forward to exploring more in depth upon the arrival of The Official.
