Hail the Sun release maniacal new song “Glass: Half Empty”

One week away from the release of their new album, Hail the Sun have released their maniacal new single “Glass: Half Empty.” It’s a high-energy track that alternates between visceral screams, impressive guitar work and steady drumming throughout. Listen for yourself at the top of the post.

Expanding on the song, Hail the Sun vocalist/drummer Donovan Melero mentions “’I’m very grateful for everything I’ve ever been given or earned. I count my blessings on a daily basis. However, I feel as though the obsession to always want ‘more’ has always plagued me. The harder it is to get, the more out of reach it seems, the more I want it. And if and when that is achieved, it’s like my mind solely decides that it’s time to crave something else. Or even worse, I realize I no longer want it, and never did.”

Hail the Sun’s new album, Mental Knife, will be released on September 28th via Equal Vision Records. To support the release, the band will be heading out on a fall tour with Polyphia. Check out all of those upcoming tour dates below, and pre-order Metal Knife here.
