Epitaph Records has announced that they’ve signed singer/songwriter/rapper Lil Lotus.

Lil Lotus emerged in 2017 as part of the emo rap genre rise, with his Body Bag EP, and has been a success since. Today, wirh the news of signing to Epitaph, he has released a brand new single and music video, “Never Get Away.”

Its a song about pain, sobriety, and facing all of your demons. His music has always contained confessional lyrics, rap beats, with a little bit of punk melodies mixed in, with “Never Get Away” being another fine addition to the discography of Lil Lotus.

He explains on the new song, “Once I got sober, I realized a lot of the problems I was dealing with when I was coping with drugs were surfacing even more, I felt like I could never get away. Dealing with anxiety and relationships magnified everything.”

Epitaph Records is a great fit for Lil Lotus, as he spent his early years playing in post hardcore bands often influenced by the impressive roster of the label. According to Label Founder and CEO Brett Gurewitz, “Hip-hop and punk were born around the same time and I’ve been a fan of both genres since the 80s.  The music of Lil Lotus brings  these beloved countercultures together in an authentic way.”
