There have been many poems, songs, and other art dedicated to eyes. It’s a time-honored tradition, and has produced a multitude of great works. It’s for good reason too, as eyes are one of the most distinctive parts of us. Pop duo MKTO clearly think so as well. Malcolm Kelley and Tony Oller are back with a brand new single called “Marry Those Eyes,” and it’s a good one.

You know “Marry Those Eyes” is a winner from the first second when you hear that slick, surging opening hook. The duo pattern their singing on that rise and fall, creating a sonic effect that constantly demands your attention. While the eyes are definitely the star of the track and the lyrics–with a lot of excellent eye and vision-based wordplay–it’s clear the infatuation extends to everything about the subject of the song. MKTO are still as smooth as can be, and “Marry Those Eyes” benefits from it.
