Jonah Melvon has been the talk of R&B in 2019.
The Bay Area hybrid (R&B/Hip Hop) has been receiving a lot of publicity behind his new critically-acclaimed project, titled RainWater Project. It’s an 11-track collection of classic jazz, futuristic funk, modern-day wordplay and hypnotizing hooks. The album features guest appearances from talented recording artists Adesha, Yvette Pylant and AlexisRose.
On the album, Jonah Melvon is magnetic. Great songwriting, arrangement and embodies a well-balanced mixture of the purest essences of Hip Hop and R&B. While many may label him a new artist, there is a lot of old soul in this one that will build a long-lasting legacy in no time.
Melvon’s music is enriched with Bay Area musical history. Priding himself as a “professional,” he credits his sound to the soil infused with a wide variety of natural sounds.
He explained emphatically “MY MUSIC IS RAW. IT’S LYRICAL; IT’S SOCIALLY CONSCIOUS. IF I’M RHYMING OR SINGING, IT HAS A LOT OF DEPTH IN IT. IT HAS SOME LEVEL OF HEALING, SOME LEVEL OF CONSCIOUSNESS,” HE EXPLAINS. “MY MUSIC IS THE BAY. THE BAY LIVES IN MY MUSIC.”
Delivering an award-nominating performance from beginning to end. RainWater Project is a must-hear for R&B lovers of all-ages.
