If you live in Los Angeles, you may have passed this perfect billboard – a self-portrait of Chris Farren with “1-810-BORN-HOT” written on it. If you don’t live in Los Angeles, you’ve probably seen pictures of this billboard floating around the internet. And if you haven’t, well, you can see it below.

The billboard helped announce Chris Farren’s new album, Born Hot, which he recorded on his own at his home in Los Angeles. Following the first single “Search 4 Me”, he’s now shared another track, “Surrender.” He says about the song, “‘Surrender’ is about the end of a friendship and that weird uncertainty surrounding it… When you’re close to someone but don’t feel quite close enough to really open up and work things out. It also has my really great friend Steph from Adult Mom on it!”

If, like many of us young adults active on the internet, your sense of humor is a mix of self-deprecating and self-obsession that borders on absurd, chances are Chris Farren’s music will resonate with you. Born Hot will be released on October 11 via Polyvinyl. Pre-orders are available here; if you pre-order through Polyvinyl, you’ll also be able to pick up “Born Hot” aprons, oven mitts, and color-changing mugs.
