NYC based Gold Dime has announced that their new album My House will be released on October 11. The band also shared the official video for the lead single off the album “Hindsight II.” The black and white video, directed by Joe Wakeman, was filmed at the legendary New York performance art space The Kitchen.
“Sometimes we better understand the past if we just talk to it. So this is just the rhetorical me talking to the past through Hindsight personified. Also I think I had The Velvet Underground’s ‘Hey Mr. Rain’ rattling around in my head when this all went down,” Gold Dime’s Andrya Ambro says on the video, ” There is a ‘Hindsight’ first edition on Gold Dime’s debut album Nerves. It’s basically the haiku version of ‘Hindsight II,’ only on piano and much more austere.”
Headed by Andrya Ambro of NYX noise rock duo Talk Normal, Gold Dime is a collective effort with Ian Douglas-Moore on bass and John Bohannon on guitar, as well as a revolving door of collaborators. My House is the band’s second release and was produced by Ambro.
Gold Dime will soon go on a US tour this October, kicking off in Brooklyn, New York with a record release show at Alphaville on October 9th. Full tour dates can be found below.
