Just two weeks before they’re set to release their debut album Nothing Happens on Atlantic Records, Wallows have shared yet another new song, “Sidelines.” Wallows have a way of touching on those feelings of how difficult and uncertain it can be to figure out who you are and how you feel, and “Sidelines” touches on the heartbreak and confusion that follow a break-up, even when parting ways was the right thing to do. “Sidelines” is accompanied by a self-directed lyric video, which band members Braeden Lemasters, Cole Preston, and Dylan Minnette shot at a mini-golf course at Los Angeles’s Castle Park.

Wallows says about the song, “‘Sidelines’ has been a song that has meant a lot to us from the start of recording this album, and we are very excited to put it out into the world.” “Sidelines” follows “Are You Bored Yet?” and “Scrawny” as the third song to be released from Nothing Happens. Nothing Happens is available for pre-order here. Wallows will be on tour this spring in support of the album; check out the full list of dates below.
