New Yorkers The Everafter are taking their aggressive sound and infectious pop-punk melodies into a new EP titled Where I Came From, which is set to arrive on May 17th. Our first taste of the album comes in the form of “As We Were” – the band’s first single leading up to the release of the EP. Check out the new song above.

“In your lifetime there will be certain people that have a magnetic pull,” vocalist Cora Small explains. “Miles apart and years between your last encounter yet they still linger in your mind. The memories play back like a movie that left you unsatisfied and wanting more. They were a “choose your own adventure” book but without the ability to flip back a few pages to change your fate. “As We Were” is a representation of this type of relationship. The person who made you feel different, infinite, loved, and worthy of anything and everything… but they’re not a part of your life anymore- so what was it that was so incredible about that individual and why wasn’t it worth fighting for? It’s the “first love” affect that has you asking yourself “what if the one that got away came back?”

The band has two upcoming shows, as of right now. One in Philadelphia at the end of the month and another in New Jersey in May. Keep updated online with the Everafter here.
