Lauren Duski has had a whirlwind rise to prominence. The Michigan country artist was the runner-up on The Voice in 2017, and released two strong singles in 2018. Those singles-“Costume Party” and “Heart Hurt Good”–are both innovative country releases that sparked a connection with her fans. We covered her “Costume Party” video, in which fans made it clear how much Duski means to them. Those fans and everyone else are in for a treat, as Duski has announced her debut EP Midwestern Girl is arriving at the end of February.

Midwestern Girl appears to be the quintessential Lauren Duski project. The cover art–included above–simply shows Duski in a plain hoodie. The five track EP will include “Costume Party” and “Heart Hurt Good,” and the other songs point to a personal, open piece of music. With additional titles like “Journey of a Midwestern Girl” and “The Weather (Grandpa’s Song),” it seems we’ll be learning a lot more about Duski on this EP.

Midwestern Girl will be released on February 20 through Bottoms Up Records. We’ve included the tracklist below, and you can pre-order the EP here.
