For the first time since releasing EndSerenading in 1998, influential Texas emo act Mineral have released new music. The song is called “Aurora” and premiered alongside a lengthy interview via NPR.

The song is set to appear on a 10-inch record accompanying a retrospective book celebrating the band’s 25th anniversary, titled One Day When We Are Young: Mineral at 25. The book will feature some rare photographs, handwritten lyrics, and more. The book is set for release on January 4th, and the 10-inch will feature “Aurora” and “Your Body Is the World.

The band’s two albums — 1997’s The Power of Failing and the aforementioned EndSerenading — were reissued back in 2014, which was the year that Mineral kicked off a reunion tour.

To celebrate their 25th anniversary, Mineral will be heading out on a lengthy world tour in 2019. You can find all of those tour dates below.
