William Ryan Key debuts emotional video for “Old Friends”

Former Yellowcard vocalist/guitarist William Ryan Key released his debut solo EP, Thirteen, back in May, and has stayed busy ever since.

Earlier in the year, Key supported New Found Glory on a national tour, and then performed a handful of dates on the final cross-country Warped Tour. Now, before resuming his busy touring schedule, Key has released a music video for “Old Friends.”

“I collected a ton of live footage on tour this year that I knew I wanted to use for a music video,” he says. “I chose ‘Old Friends’ because I wanted to include the people that have been out there supporting my new music the most. I received over 800 submissions of photographs of fans and friends to use in the video. The end result feels nostalgic and peaceful just like the song itself.”

In regards to his aforementioned busy touring schedule, Key will be performing a slew of shows in the U.S. with Moose Blood, then will do his first solo shows in Australia, and then embarking on a nation-wide tour with Mayday Parade. Outside of the U.S. and Australia, Key will then head overseas for a co-headlining tour with This Wild Life.
