We are under a month out from the release of Thrice’s new album, Palms, and the band has shared anther taste from the album.
Thrice have released a new song called “Only Us,” which you can find at the top of the post.“‘Only Us’ came from thinking about how we’re so easily divided into ‘us’ and ‘them,’ when really we have an inherent ability to care for those in our group, and the parameters for who falls into that group are extremely flexible,” says Thrice’s front man Dustin Kensrue. “It’s about how the things that we think separate us are actually inconsequential, and if we could broaden the idea of ‘us’ to include all people, it would help us to build a more loving and civil society.”
If you like what you hear from “Only Us” and the previously released “The Grey,” you can pre-order Palms ahead of it’s September 14th release here. Thrice will be heading out on a headlining tour this fall and will be bringing out the Bronx and Teenage Wrist. The tour is set to kick off on September 21st in San Diego and will run all the way through November 18th when it wraps up in Los Angeles.
