Buffalo, New York indie-rock band Super American have released a new single called “Hands Down Olivia.” It is the latest single to be released by the duo, and also is expected to be on their upcoming debut album, which should drop later this summer.
The music video for “Hands Down Olivia” can be found at the top of this post, and shows the band meet an older gentleman who’s dying to impress a woman he meets at a park. It’s a short two and a half minute journey that follows Super American as they help the gentleman pick out the perfect outfit, closing out with a happy ending at one of their own concerts.
“We live in a small town where everybody knows everybody and the song is about meeting someone I knew nothing about (for once), and navigating the murky waters of trying to pursue them in this day & age,” explains Pat Feely regarding “Hands Down Olivia. “The vibe of the song is the general excitement of having a crush while not being in the mood for anything serious.”
