It’s Dirty Projectors‘ moment right now. David Longstreth released the somber and amazing “Little Bubble” last month, and a new self-titled LP is headed our way at the end of this month. In the meantime, Longstreth has enlisted Dawn Richard, better known as D∆WN, to give us new track, titled “Cool Your Heart.”

The song gives centerstage to D∆WN through most of the runtime, as she gets both her own verse and handles the majority of the chorus. Over the usual electronic flares of Dirty Projectors’ music is a collection of Caribbean-style percussion that really sets the track apart. The song was co-written by Solange, coming off her very important and very excellent 2016 album A Seat At The Table. The video for “Cool Your Heart” was directed by Noel Paul and Stefan Moore and features Longstreth and D∆WN walking down a deserted road during the night along with a very nice car. Dirty Projectors is due out on February 24 through Domino. Both physical and digital pre-orders are currently ongoing.
