Andre 3000 has announced a run of intimate live performances, in support of his recently released instrumental album, New Blue Sun.
New Blue Sun was released back in November via Epic Records. Co-produced by André 3000 and lauded multi-instrumentalist Carlos Niño, and featuring the playing of Nate Mercereau, Surya Botofasina, Deantoni Parks, Diego Gaeta, Matthewdavid,V.C.R, Diego Gaeta, Jesse Peterson, and Mia Doi Todd, New Blue Sun is an entirely instrumental album; a celebratory piece of work in the form of a living, breathing, improvised, aural organism.
The headlining tour will kick off on January 29th in Brooklyn, New York followed by a three night residency at the legendary Blue Note Jazz Club in Manhattan, where André 3000 and his collaborators will play two shows per night. They’ll make stops in Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta and San Francisco before finishing with a five night stint at The Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever in Los Angeles March 5th through 9th.
