Lake Street Dive have announced that they will be releasing their new album, Free Yourself Up, on May 4 via Nonesuch Records. The album can currently be pre-ordered here.
“This album is based in the realities in our time,” bassist Bridget Kearney states, “which have inevitably become part of everyone’s daily life. It’s something you think about and obsesses over — and write songs about. Free Yourself Up is about empowering yourself, emboldening yourself, no matter what’s going wrong.”
In addition to the album announcement, Lake Street Dive have shared the first single called “Good Kisser.” You can check out that song and music video above.
Lake Street Dive will be touring in support of Free Yourself Up this spring. Their touring will kick off on May 4 in Boston, and run through June 1 in Ogden, Utah before hitting a few festivals.
