2017 was a busy year for Marshmello. From festival performances (he started the new year at Decadence in Denver, and a non-stop summer schedule included closing out Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival, as well as appearances at Electric Daisy Carnival and Reading & Leeds) to a slew of new singles and videos (like “Silence” with Khalid, which was certified Platinum by the RIAA), it seems he never took a break. It’s only a week into 2018, but we wouldn’t be surprised if this year is even busier, and he’s starting it off with yet another new video for the single “Love U.” The video for “Love U” can be seen above.
Produced and directed by Toon53 Productions (who were also behind the video for “You & Me”), “Love U” is done in a candy-colored animation style and begins with a neon-lit view of an ice cream parlour on a dark and rainy night. Inside, Marshmello is behind the turntables when in walks the Mello-woman of his dreams. They later reunite in the woods, but will their love last? Time will only tell if things are meant to be.
If the “Love U” video has your sweet tooth itching for more, check out a recent holiday-themed episode of his cooking show, “Cooking With Marshmello”, where he makes marshmallow dreidels to celebrate Hanukkah.
Marshmello has several headlining shows coming up, hitting cities including Las Vegas, San Francisco, Detroit, and New York.
