Every con has its pros, and in Ocean’s 8 they’re all played by women.

Good news, movie fans. After months of teaser images and the recent release of the fifteen-seconds worth of footage, the first official trailer for Ocean’s 8 found its way online early Tuesday morning. You can view the footage above.

Starring Sandra Bullock as Debbie Ocean, the estranged sister of Danny Ocean (George Clooney), Ocean’s 8 tells the story of eight women who come together to steal a necklace valued at $150 million from a notable starlet during the Met Gala in New York City. The location of the heist allows the film to blend the fantasy world of cinema with reality, including appearances from Kim Kardashian and other celebrities who would typically be seen at the Met Gala or similar events. It’s a fun idea that, hopefully, can help to launch a new series of ensemble heist films not unlike those launched in the wake of the success experienced by Ocean’s 11 way back in 2001.

To pull off her scheme, Ocean and her close friend Lou (Cate Blanchett) will have to assemble the mysterious hacker Nine Ball (Rihanna), jewelry expert Amita (Mindy Kaling), pickpocket Constance (Awkwafina), fashion designer Rose (Helena Bonham Carter), and old associate-turned-housewife Tammy (Sarah Paulson) to help them. Each has their own reasons for participating, which surely will become clear in the midst of the film’s second act, but for now it’s enough just to see these badass women side by side on the screen.
