The full trailer arrives tomorrow, but this Ocean’s 8 teaser is sure to get people talking about 2018’s biggest heist movie.

Ten years ago people would have laughed if you said one day the entirety of film Twitter would grind to a halt any time a major studio released a fifteen-second teaser for a longer, albeit still very short teaser that would inevitably lead to the first of several full trailers for a movie still months from release. You might also have to explain what ‘film Twitter’ is, as well as why anyone cares about it. Still, this is the world we live in, and this morning the world got its first look at Ocean’s 8.

Featuring eight of the best women working in Hollywood today, Ocean’s 8 will flip the script on ensemble heist films in 2018. The film follows Danny Ocean’s estranged sister, Debbie Oceans, as she attempts to pull off the heist of the century at New York City’s star-studded annual Met Gala with the help of a seven-person crew. Sandra Bullock leads the cast as Ocean, with Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, and Helena Bonham Carter filling out the supporting roles. You can view the new teaser above.

A full trailer for Ocean’s 8 will arrive tomorrow, but the footage above does seem to spoil at least one major reveal. If you pause the clip at the 10-second mark you will see Debbie Ocean kneeling beside what appears to be the grave of her brother, Danny Ocean. This itself is shocking, but so is the idea someone would have ‘Danny’ engraved on a tombstone instead of ‘Daniel’.
