Today, Philadelphia punk rockers The Menzingers have given their fans plenty to celebrate.
First up, the band have announced a fall headlining tour of the U.S. and will be bringing out Microwave, Cloud Nothings, and Rodeo Boys as support for the entirety of the run. The tour will kick off on November 9th in Rochester, New York and make stops in Nashville, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Seattle before wrapping up on December 17th in Toronto. Tickets will go on-sale this Friday, July 1st at 10am local time.
Additionally, The Menzingers have released a boot stomping new single, “There’s No Place In This World for Me” and finds the four-some exploring an Americana/roots sound as vocalist Greg Barnett pushes the limits of his own natural rasp and twang in his distinct voice. Recorded at Sonic Ranch in April 2023, it was produced by Brad Cook (Waxahatchee, Kevin Morby), mixed by Jon Low (Taylor Swift, The National) and mastered by Ryan Smith (Coldplay, Smashing Pumpkins). Drawing inspiration from both the gritty punk rock tradition and the introspective storytelling of folk music, the band establishes a unique and elevated sound.
“There’s No Place In This World for Me” is the second single released by the band in 2023, following “Bad Actors.”
The Menzingers comment, “Very excited to share our new single, “There’s No Place In This World For Me” from our upcoming album that… well we can’t go into details just yet but trust us, it’s coming soon! This song is an anthem for anyone stuck between where they are and where they want to be.
Additionally, we’re thrilled to announce a fall North American headline tour with Microwave, Cloud Nothings, and Rodeo Boys! Truly honored to share the stage with such great bands.”
