St. Vincent announces new LP MASSEDUCTION, shares “Los Ageless”

At the end of August, St. Vincent (Annie Clark) released the music video for her summer single “New York.” At the time we speculated that more news from the visionary artist might be on the horizon. Today she delivered upon that speculation. This morning she shared the new track “Los Ageless,” the second single from her just announced fifth album MASSEDUCTION.

If the first two singles are anything to go by, the new album is going to have an incredibly diverse sound. “New York” was full of heartache and piano, but “Los Ageless” goes in an entirely different direction. The track is big, menacing, and mechanical. Grimey synths pulse under the track as Clark sings over the haunting wail of electric guitars. The lyrics are a little less lovesick as well, as Clark implores “How could anybody have you and lose you and not lose their minds too?”

Give the track a listen up above. The still from the official audio is also the cover for the new album. MASSEDCTION will be out on October 13, which just so happens to be a Friday the 13th. You can pre-order the album now.
