Iron Chic make a triumphant return with “My Best Friend (Is A Nihilist)”

Iron Chic have a new home in SideOne Dummy Records — and I don’t believe that they’ve ever been in better company. Now a part of the seemingly endless slew of the most talented bands to grace the spectrum of rock music, most notably Pup and Jeff Rosenstock, Iron Chic are gearing up to release their brand new record, You Can’t Stay Here next month. Recently, the band unleashed the music video for their powerful comeback single, “My Best Friend (Is A Nihilist).”

The track takes their now-signature garage-rock sound to new heights. Existential crisis and the concept of mortality run rampant through the verses and with a hook as immediately catchy and wall-shattering as the rattling delivery of “It’s like driving a runaway hearse/And I cant stop/I just I make things worse/Come on/And take the wheel from me/And put me outta my misery/You were crying/When I sang the words/I won’t see you in hell if I get there first/I’m tearing at the seams/But If anyone can dream/Then I can!” fans of this tried and true label are going to leave this listening experience an insatiable mess. The music video takes these themes and runs wild, creating a visual experience that’s equally as thrilling.

You Can’t Stay Here is out on October 13th via SideOne Dummy Records. You can pre-order the record here, and be sure to catch Iron Chic on with Propagandhi and The Movielife starting tomorrow! All upcoming tour dates can be seen below.
