While some artists prefer to keep a new album a surprise before release date, London rock band Wolf Alice just keeps on coming with the singles. Their sophomore record, Visions Of A Life, is due out on September 29 via Dirty Hit / RCA Records, and they’ve already shared three tracks: “Yuk Foo”, “Don’t Delete The Kisses”, and “Beautifully Unconventional”, all of which have been accompanied by music videos. Now, with just under two weeks till the album is released, they’ve shared another track, “Heavenward”, which you can listen to below.

“Heavenward” comes as the opening track on Visions Of A Life, and with an atmospheric, progressive intro that lasts just over a minute and a half it’ll ease you in to an album that’s sure to have its share of grit (the “Yuk Foo” video is comprised of brash, in-your-face performance clips filmed at Shoreditch Town Hall in London). Ellie Rowsell’s vocals gently float over a simple guitar pattern before things return bigger and better for the chorus. While there’s no accompanying video for “Heavenward”, the artwork shared with the song- a photo of sunlight brilliantly streaming in between trees in a forest- seems to fit the mood perfectly.
