There’s no better way to celebrate summer than by heading to a music festival, and fans at the third annual Billboard Hot 100 Festival in Wantagh, New York were treated to dozens of performances all weekend. This year’s festival featured four separate stages: the main Hot 100 Stage, the Sun Stage, the Heatseekers Stage (which celebrated smaller acts), and the Beach Stage. Featuring mostly hip-hop and rap, the Beach Stage was set a bit away from the rest of the stages, but worth the walk. Rapper Ty Dolla $ign closed out Saturday’s performances on the Beach Stage.

It’s natural for fans to get antsy when a set runs behind. While it took a few minutes for things to really get going with Ty Dolla Sign’s performance, once they finally did, no one seemed to care. Multiple stages at a festival mean conflicting set times, and while Ty Dolla performed at the same time as the legendary Rick Ross, the crowd over at the Beach Stage was huge. His set list reached back to songs like “Paranoid” and “Blasé”, though fans will note he’s currently hard at work on yet another new album, Beach House 3, expected to drop later this year.

Missed his set at Billboard Hot 100 Festival? Ty Dolla Sign will be performing at two festivals in Germany and Denmark this week, followed by a show supporting Fetty Wap (who performed on the same stage two years prior) in Reading, Pennsylvania this October. Keep up on Ty Dolla Sign’s website to see what he’s up to next.
