In case you aren’t aware, The Killers are back. After a five year wait since their last album Battle Born, the Las Vegas band will make their return next month with Wonderful Wonderful. Over the summer the band have been releasing singles and videos at a steady clip throughout the summer, and this week is no different. The band released the title track from the new album, and it’s everything we’ve come to love from the group.

The song begins with a mournful horn solo before the bass line kicks in. Like the best Killers songs, the instruments continue to stack from there, with drums coming in as Brandon Flowers sings of people “dancing for rain.” The track builds to a wonderfully dense and exciting chorus. Instead of ending on a triumph, the track fades into a distorted, grimy end.
