The Elovaters have released the official music video for “Pockets Full of Sand,” featuring Bryce Vine, from their newly released album Shark Belly Motel, available now through Ineffable Records.
Directed by Landry Long, the video explores themes of time, perspective, and life’s rapid pace. Long said the visual concept was inspired by the song’s sense of urgency and the idea of having the power to slow down, speed up, or relive key moments in life.
Produced by Jon Joseph, whose credits include Sublime, Børns, and illuminati hotties, Shark Belly Motel highlights The Elovaters’ blend of rock, pop, hip-hop, and roots influences. The album continues the band’s evolution while expanding on the sound that has earned them a devoted national following.
Fronted by singer-songwriter Jackson Wetherebee, The Elovaters have grown from performing in Boston-area clubs to selling out major venues across the country, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The band’s breakthrough came with their Billboard-charting 2018 album Defy Gravity, and their music has since been featured on CBS’ Hawaii Five-0, SiriusXM’s No Shoes Radio, Margaritaville, and The Spectrum.
Known for their energetic live performances and genre-crossing appeal, The Elovaters continue to build momentum with the release of Shark Belly Motel and the new video for “Pockets Full of Sand.”
