Experimental post-rock sextet The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die announce their new album,Dreams of Being Dust, due for release on August 22nd via Epitaph Records.

New single titled “Se Sufre Pero Se Goza

Translated to “It is suffered but it is enjoyed,”  is exactly what you would expect from The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die which features Brendan Murphy from Counterparts, one of three guest vocalists on the new album.

“Se Sufre Pero Se Goza” immediately grabs you right out of the gate! The huge drum roll at the beginning leads right into heavy guitars and a vocal melody that captures your attention. This has always been a band that we appreciate here at Substream Magazine as they always deliver a unique sound but still very familiar and fitting to the scene.

My dad died. Anthony’s mom died. The world is a beautiful place, but life fucking sucks a lot of the time. Writing songs and playing them help us deal with the worst moments, so maybe they can do that for you. If you’re at a hospital or a funeral any time soon, this song is for you. We hope our songs can carve out some minutes of pleasure for you along the way. ‘We suffer, but we enjoy.’” – Lead vocalist David F. Bello

While it may initially appear like an unexpected change, the band’s shift toward a heavier, more aggressive sound aligns naturally with their ongoing musical evolution. Now a six-member lineup—featuring original bassist Josh Cyr, drummer/percussionist Steven Buttery, vocalist David F. Bello, guitarist/vocalist Chris Teti, vocalist/keyboardist Katie Dvorak, and guitarist/vocalist Anthony Gesa—TWIABP has long shown a tendency toward weightier sonic elements. What was once a subtle undercurrent is now stepping confidently into the spotlight.
