Today, Irish singer/songwriter Darren Kiely has released a brand new single, “Avalon,” today via Free Flight Records.

Produced by David Baron (Lana Del Rey, The Lumineers, Shawn Mendes), and written by Kiely and Kevin Kadish, the soaring new single continues to showcase the relatable lyrics from Kiely and his growth as a songwriter.

“‘Avalon’ is a song about moving away from where you’re from and finding a new life somewhere else,” says Kiely.  “It describes the burning desire to find a new life and references generations past who moved away and never came back.”

“Avalon” is the newest music from Kiely since his From The Dark EP. The EP was also produced by Baron and featured co-writes from Ryan Hurd, Teddy Reimer, Daniel Tashian, Joe Fox, Geoff Warburton, Jon Hume, and Gabe Simon.  The six-track EP takes his craft to new heights as he explores the harsh realities that come with growing up and moving on.

Pulling inspiration from influences like Mumford & Suns, The Lumineers and Noah Kahan, Kiely has mastered his own distinctive sound while drawing in fans worldwide. With a busy start to 2024 — “Sunrise” reached No. 1 on the Irish Homegrown Chart, signing to Free Flight Records, and headlining his sold-out 33-date international THE LOST TOUR —  Kiely continues to capitalize on his momentum with the announcement of plans to join Mat Kearney on the HEADLIGHTS HOME TOUR this fall.
