Fresh off of her stunning performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, Sasha Alex Sloan has returned to share a brand new single and music video, “Glad You Did.” It appears on her new album, due out May 17th.

“Glad You Did” follows the previously released “Me Again” and “Highlights” as previews of her highly anticipated new album, Me Again, which will be released on May 17th.

“Glad You Did” is a masterful, stripped-back track driven by the flawless vocals of Sloan and her stunning songwriting. Co-written with her husband, King Henry, the single dives into the depths of toxic relationships, inspired by her own personal experiences. The release of “Glad You Did” comes accompanied by a Slater Goodson-directed music video, filmed in Nashville where Sloan now lives.

“This is one of my favorite videos I’ve been a part of,” she says regarding the video. “This video is representative of me packing someone’s stuff up for them and moving them out of a bad situation. What I didn’t realize until I watched it back is how it could also be about me.”

Recorded in Nashville alongside her husband and their many pets, Me Again is a portrait of an artist navigating personal turmoil. With a career punctuated by cheeky, sometimes irreverent, pop-inflected tunes that candidly addressed her emotional battles, Me Again marks Sloan’s most forthright work yet. “With this album, I wanted to be more honest, because I was fucking sad,” she reveals.
