Tampa, Florida-based rock band Nevertel have announced their signing to Epitaph Records today.

Although they’ve been around since 2014, this marks their first ever record deal. They’ve made a name for themselves on their own, though, riding vigorous DIY work ethic and impressive self-released music all the way to over 500k monthly listeners on spotify alone

It’s honestly no secret we’ve enjoyed being independent, but when Epitaph came into the picture it felt like we clicked on so many things,” Nevertel explain. “We share a passion for the same goals and ideas, and their trust and faith in us to do our thing is truly invaluable to us.

In celebration of today’s news, Nevertel have released a music video for their single “Sacrifice.” The single was mixed by James Paul Wisner (Underoath, Paramore) and mastered by Ted Jensen (Korn, Bring Me The Horizon). Possessing a dark and eerie vibe supplied by atmospheric production and industrial sonics, the band pairs trap beats with a punishing metalcore breakdown for a high-impact effect.

On the song’s compelling lyricism the band explains: “ “Sacrifice” is about the emotional turmoil and pressure you can feel when you need to make sacrifices for the things you love. That message plays into the video which visually represents us sacrificing ourselves to the thing we love, letting it take us in the end.”
