Warner Music Nashville’s multi-platinum star Gabby Barrett has just released a music video for her song “Growin’ Up Raising You.” The song is lifted from her most recent album, Chapter & Verse, which was released this past Friday, February 2nd.
The song intimately narrates Barrett’s life as a soon-to-be mother of 3, with the accompanying music video being directed by Ash Summerford at Southall Farm & Inn in Franklin, Tennessee. The poignant video matches the 23 year old’s heartfelt sensitivity in the lyrics that were co-written by Barrett herself with Jon Nite, Zach Kale, and Jimmy Robbins, as she further confesses to all the hopes and fears that accompany new motherhood.
“I’m doing the best that I can while trying to raise other people to be the best people they can be,” shares Barrett. “I feel so blessed to be able to have three little lives that I can help to flourish while I’m also trying to figure out life myself.”
