Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, King Princess is a singer/multi-instrumentalist/songwriter who first caught the public eye in 2018 with her debut single, “1950.” The single, which was an ode to untold queer histories, became an overnight sensation with over 300 million streams and has since achieved platinum status in the U.S.
Her debut album, Cheap Queen, followed in 2019 and was released via Mark Ronson’s Zelig Records/Columbia Records. This lead to sold out tours across North America and Europe, as well as appearances at Coachella, Glastonbury, Governors Ball, and more. In 2021, King Princess will be supporting Harry Styles on the European leg of his world tour.
Today, she has released a new song, “Only Time Makes It Human,” which was produced by herself and Mike Malcicoff, and co-produced by Ronson. The track is accompanied by a Quinn Wilson-directed music video, which features a King Princess avatar created by 3D artist Pastelae.
