The California singer-songwriter Cody Lovaas has released an acoustic version of his single “Just So you Know.”

The original version is featured on his EP Pulled Out Couch, which was released earlier this year and already has half a million streams on Spotify.

This work of his derives from a love that tried to withstand long-distance, a twenty-one year old trying to figure himself out, and a five-year-long cat and mouse relationship.

Cody wrote all of these songs during a time when he was sleeping on his managers pull out couch when he first moved to Los Angeles.

Cody grounds his simple and confessional lyrics in soulful vocals, melodic acoustic performances, and smooth pop-production. He plays with the boundaries of pop, electronic, and acoustic music, retaining pop’s effortless melodies while exchanging the genres of cosmetic composition for sincere and wistful love stories.
