If you’ve been reading Substream for a while, you may have seen our weekly Take Five column, where we highlight our five favorite songs from the previous week. For the month of December, we wanted to highlight of our love and appreciation of the holidays by doing something special for our readers. So for this month, we present you with a special variation of Take Five with the Holiday Five.
We’ve gotten together with some amazing artists and music industry people to chat about their five favorite holiday movies. This will be more than a weekly column, so be sure to check in every day to see who joined us to talk about their favorite holiday movies.
Our fifth piece this month comes from Spencer Sutherland, who just released “Grateful,” and will be releasing a new EP in 2020 via BMG. Head below to see what Sutherland’s five favorite holiday films are!
Home Alone – I’ve loved this movie since I was five years old. I used to pretend I was Macaulay Culkin and set traps for my family around the house.
Scrooged – I love this dark comedy based on actual Scrooge. It’s so funny and a wakeup call to live your best life!
Jingle All the Way – A cheesy classic! It also takes place in one of my favorite cities, Minneapolis.
Christmas Vacation – I watch this one with my family every year. When I was little, my dad fast forwarded through the rated R scenes!
The Santa Clause – I love Tim Allen and the extreme 90s nostalgia in this movie!
