Here they are, right back at it again, destroying venues on their “Degenerates Tour.” A Day to Remember has furiously heated up the Midwest, making a stop at the War Memorial Colesuim in Ft. Wayne Indiana.

The Ocala, Florida natives showed out with older songs like “Sticks & fucking Bricks” and a mix of newer songs like “Degenerates” and “Rescue Me.” Crossing genre boundaries is usually met with some pretty heated hate for bands like A Day to Remember,  who produced some pretty heavy anthems like “2nd Sucks,” but have successfully forged into more electro pop spins and dominated the sound — let’s all face it, “Rescue Me” with Marshmello is a bop and a half, you know you find yourself shuffling along to the bass drops.

A Day to Remember vocalist Jeremy McKinnon dropped a little secret on the crowd by pointing out that a kid from the crowd managed to use social media to persuade the band to use his suggestion for the name of the new album— which can’t come soon enough! Props to you kid, sorry we never caught your name. The show carried on with tons of pyro, double bass and dad jeans; guitarist Kevin Skaff is trying like hell to prove high water pants are cool, but he missed the mark by not wearing argile socks and a fresh pair of all white sneakers. Good try though Kevin!

All in all, the night was jam packed with heavy riffs, but ADTR didn’t forget to drop the Emo Romance anthem “If It Means a Lot to You,” and we know you all made out with your crushes to that song in high school. The only criticism I have for the show was watching rolls of perfectly good toilet paper get used as streamers — maybe it’s just the penny pinching mom in me, but it hurt my domesticated mom soul watching toiler paper falling from the sky.

Phenomenal show that night gents, you never fail to disappoint, or let us leave without aches and pains from moshing all night. If you have the chance to hit a night on the Degenerates tour, pop a couple of Advil, hit the closest venue and get the fuck in the pit! Rage on Degenerates!
