Glacier Veins is dream-punk band hailing from Portland, Oregon and are more than deserving of your attention. While it originally began as the solo project of vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Malia Endres in 2015, it quickly grew into a full-fledged rock band.

2016 saw Glacier Veins release their debut EP, Clear Your Head, and established themselves as a band that places a heavy emphasis on music and lyrics. This helped land them post on the Portland date of Warped Tour in 2016, and later the Treefort Fest in Boise, Idaho in 2017. The band followed all of this up with their second EP, Dreamspace, which dropped in the fall of 2017 via Common Ground Records.

Now, Glacier Veins is ready to take the next step — and Substream is excited to be playing a very small part in that. We’re excited to announce the band’s signing with Equal Vision Records, and they’ve celebrated the news by dropping a brand new single, “Talk.” The incredibly catchy and melodic single is only their debut single for the label, but it’s only a sign of big things to come from the band.

“’Talk’ goes through an emotional period in a relationship and emphasizes the importance and power of communication in a relationship,” explains Endres. “The music video uses the intensity, uncertainty and frustration of an interrogation scene as a metaphor for what is felt during an emotional period in a relationship. It displays the difficulties and problems of communication but ends with a realization, similar to how proper communication can lead to understanding in a relationship.”
