It’s another busy day in what has turned out to be a busy year for Amber Bain and The Japanese House. Earlier this year Bain dropped her debut album Good At Falling, went on tour, and shared live EP The LA Sessions. That would be plenty for any artist, but she isn’t just any artist. Bain is back again today with the announcement of another new EP, Something Has To Change, and dropped the project’s title track.
The track is The Japanese House being introspective, which means it’s as great as we’ve come to expect. Over warm production provided by Bain and BJ Burton (who has worked with Francis & The Lights and Bon Iver), she comes to the realization that things cannot stay as they are. The accompanying music video is also a great watch, with a very ’80s science experiment feel to it. Check it out now.
While there’s no concrete release date for Something Has To Change yet, we do know it is arriving before the end of the year. In just a few days The Japanese House will depart for more tour dates. A full list of dates are below, and tickets are available here.
