BANKS shares eerie lyric video for "Contaminated"

The summer of BANKS continues as we near September. Fresh off the release of her album III (which I loved) in July, she’s now preparing for her headlining tour in support of the record. She’s also released a string of visuals for songs on III, and that trend continues today. This morning BANKS dropped an eerie, stunning new lyric video for track “Contaminated.”

The centerpiece of the video is a technicolor rock structure, under which resides a contortionist. As “Contaminated” plays, the contortionist bends and twists herself in a series of more complex movements. That on its own would be enough for an enthralling video, but there’s more. The lighting in the background changes suddenly to reflect shifts in the song’s emotions, and the colors in both the rocks and coating the performer blend and bleed in captivatingly unnatural ways.
