Tegan and Sara have announced their latest album Hey, I’m Just Like You, which is set for release on September 27. Two decades into their prolific career, Tegan and Sara are taking a moment to look back at all they have accomplished. With the announcement of their ninth studio album, they also announced the release date of their upcoming memoir, High School, just 3 days prior to the album on September 24. In writing the memoir, Tegan and Sara found themselves inspired by the recordings of the first songs that they ever created together. Those songs that the twins wrote together as teenagers will be released with professional studio treatment for the first time.
“This is the record we never could have made as teenagers, full of songs we never could have written as adults,” Tegan and Sara say of the album.
Hey, I’m Just Like You will see Tegan and Sara return to their rock and punk roots with professional pop production they could only have gained from their years of experience in the studio. Fans can pre-save the album here.
