Nashville-based rock group The Band Camino have announced that their new EP, tryhard, will be released on August 23rd via Elektra Records. It will be the band’s first new music with Elektra Records since they dropped their two-song single of “See Through”/”Daphne Blue.”
To celebrate the announcement, The Band Camino have unveiled their brand-new single, “Honest.” You can stream the brilliantly catchy new single below.
The Band CAMINO elaborated on the upcoming EP explaining, “Somewhere along the way people have called us ‘try-hards’ thinking we took ourselves too seriously or were trying to be something we weren’t. Of course, we are try-hards. The entire reason we’re here is to create something bigger than ourselves. A lot of times people use ‘try-hard’ in a derogatory sense, but we’d rather own the fact that we’ve given every ounce of ourselves to making this music.”
Additionally, The Band Camino previously announced their plans for a fall headlining tour of North America. The tour will kick off on September 4th at Birmingham, Alabama’s Iron City and run all the way through October 20th when it wraps up in Carrboro, North Carolina at Cat’s Cradle. Valley will serve as a special guest for the entirety of the run.
